His Ways [Women of Distinction]

Historically church leaders agree that the primary purpose of our lives is to glorify God.  In its essence, glorifying God is not the common practice of singing worship songs or thinking mystical thoughts.  Glorifying God means we reflect his revealed nature through our everyday lives. 

The Woman of Distinction is being transformed in her character, values, beliefs and behavior. Her life is distinctive because she is becoming more like Christ and less like the world.  But she does not do this by her own strength.  She is like the moon which has no light of its own, but it simply reflects the light (glory) of the sun.  When we rely on Christ, we will reflect his glory to those around us.  God wants to display his nature to the world through the transformed lives of women of faith.  He wants women of faith to be lights to their world. 

In each unit of HighQuest II [Reflecting Christ Daily] you will develop the personal practice of Scripture memory and meditation using the "Closer Look" steps.  The combination of Scripture memory and meditation is a powerful way for God to transform the heart.

HighQuest II [Reflecting Christ Daily]: His Image addresses the

issue of transformation. As our personal relationship with Christ

grows, our lives need to reflect Christ in all we do. This requires

that we be transformed in our hearts and minds.  This

transformation process is much like what happens to a caterpillar when it goes through metamorphoses and becomes a beautiful butterfly.

We have the potential to experience all that God intended for

his children if we cooperate with the work of the Spirit in our

lives and be transformed. You will discover more about real life

change in HighQuest II: His Image.

Topics covered are:

• Transformation from the old to the new
  

• Transformation from worry to rest
  

• Transformation from controlling others to trusting God
  

• Transformation from anger to patience
  

• Transformation from bitterness to forgiveness
  

Each topic is covered in two weeks. In the first week, women will Meet with God each day, using passages that relate to the topic. The second week, the women will do a more in-depth study regarding two key verses on the topic. All assignments are divided into short daily segments so they are simple and doable for even very busy women. Also two key verses will be memorized for each topic.
